In August, Coolpad launched the Cool Play 6 smartphone for the Indian market at a price point of Rs. 14,999. The device that was launched as an Amazon exclusive goes on sale for the first time today in the country.
The Coolpad Cool Play 6 is available for purchase on the online retailer Amazon India with a few offers. Those who buy the device will get 20GB of addition Reliance Jio 4G data for four months (5GB per month) on recharging for Rs. 309 or above. Moreover, the buyers will also cost no cost EMI payment option for three or six months.
Talking about the Coolpad Cool Play 6 smartphone, the highlight of the smartphone is its 6GB RAM despite the affordable price tag of the device. The smartphone features an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 653 SoC teamed up with 64GB storage capacity that should handle all the storage needs of the users. Unfortunately, the Coolpad smartphone does not offer support for expandable storage as there is no microSD card slot on board.
Otherwise, the Coolpad Cool Play 6 boasts a full metal body with metallic rims running all around the device. There is a 2.5D glass protection at the front and a rear-facing circular fingerprint sensor below the main camera. The smartphone features a 5.5-inch FHD 1080p display and runs on Android 7.1.1 Nougat OS topped with Journey UI. The device claimed to receive the Android 8.0 Oreo upgrade via an OTA update by the year end.
The smartphone features a dual camera setup with two 13MP sensors, PDAF, dual tone LED flash, 4K video recording, f/2.0 aperture, and HDR. Up front, the Coolpad smartphone features an 8MP selfie camera with f/2.2 aperture. The connectivity features on board the device include Bluetooth 4.1, 4G VoLTE, and USB Type-C port. The device gets the necessary power from a 4000mAh battery that can offer up to 300 hours of standby time.
