Coolpad Mega 4A goes on sale for Rs. 4,299

Finally, the Coolpad Mega 4A has been made available for purchase in India.

Last year, Coolpad Cool Play 6 smartphone was launched in India at a price point of Rs. 14,999. Along with this smartphone, the company also announced the Mega 4A, which was supposed to go on sale in the last year itself. However, the device got delayed and it has been made available now for Rs. 4,299. Coolpad has taken to Twitter to announce that this smartphone will be an offline exclusive model.

The company has also revealed the key specifications of this budget smartphone in the teaser image on its official Twitter handle. Going by the same, the Coolpad Mega 5A boasts of a 5-inch HD 720p display and runs Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box. The smartphone comes with 16GB of internal memory capacity, which can be further expanded up to 32GB with a microSD card. The device is revealed to arrive with the dual-SIM support as well. Notably, there is a dedicated microSD card slot on board the Coolpad Mega 4A.

While the other specifications of this budget Coolpad smartphone remain unknown for now, the teaser image shows that there is a single rear camera accompanied by dual LED flash. The other aspects revealed by the teaser are the presence of hardware navigation keys, a micro USB port, a single selfie camera, a rear-facing loudspeaker and volume buttons and power button at the right.

Back in March, it was reported that Coolpad is all set to launch new smartphones in India after a long pause. The report suggested that Coolpad will make a few launches in the first half of this year while the second half will be its prime focus as it is the festive season in the country, which will be the right time for product launches. The company also revealed that it will come up with accessories in India.

In an attempt to ramp up its business in India, Coolpad is looking forward to join hands with the telecom operators in the country so that it can compete with the other budget smartphone players in the market. Furthermore, one of the recent reports suggested that the Coolpad smartphones will receive Amazon Alexa support in India.
