Did an Indian Cricketer Just Confirm the Vivo X300 Ultra's Launch in India?
A photo shared by photojournalist Ravi Choudhary on Instagram during IPL 2026 might have given us an early look at the Vivo X300 Ultra.
The image shows Shreyas Iyer using a phone on the sidelines. But what stands out isn’t just the phone itself. There’s a large circular camera module, and attached to it is a long telephoto lens.
All Signs Point Towards Vivo X300 Ultra
The Vivo X300 Ultra, which has already launched in China, is clearly built around photography. It features a 200MP primary camera, a 200MP periscope telephoto camera, and a 50MP ultra-wide lens. There’s also a 50MP front camera.
But the bigger shift here is how Vivo is treating accessories.
The phone supports dedicated teleconverter lenses. There’s a “Big Gun” 400 teleconverter that pushes focal length up to 400mm, and a smaller “Lipstick” 200 version for more practical use. The lens seen in the image looks closer to the larger teleconverter, especially in terms of size and shape.
More Than Just The Camera
Beyond the camera, the X300 Ultra is positioned as a full flagship. It runs on the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, with up to 16GB RAM and storage going up to 1TB. It also features a 6.82-inch LTPO OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate.
Battery is another big part of it. The phone packs a 7,000mAh battery with support for 100W wired charging and 40W wireless charging.
Vivo X300 Ultra Launch Timeline
This sighting comes just as reports suggest the Vivo X300 Ultra could launch in India on May 7, with sales expected to begin on May 14.
Vivo hasn’t confirmed anything yet, but this feels like early promotion, almost a quiet hint that the phone is on its way to India.
