Google Pixel 8a Price Leaks – Will It Be Costlier Than the Pixel 7a?
The Google Pixel 8a can't seem to keep a secret! Hot on the heels of color and specification leaks, a Canadian retailer has spilled the beans on the phone's expected pricing.
Pricing and Availability The leak suggests a price of CAD 709 (around INR 42,830) for the 128GB model and CAD 793 (around INR 47,900) for the 256GB variant. This translates to a potential range of INR 40,000 to INR 45,000 for Indian consumers, though final pricing may vary due to import taxes and other charges. This indicates the Pixel 8a might be slightly more expensive than its predecessor.

The leak hints at availability through Google Fi Wireless in the US. Indian customers can expect an announcement on availability after Google's I/O developer conference, with Flipkart possibly being the main platform for purchase.
Expected Specs As per tipster Yogesh Brar, the Pixel 8a might sport a vibrant 6.1-inch FHD+ OLED display with a smooth 120Hz refresh rate, a significant upgrade from its predecessor. Powering the phone will be Google's latest Tensor G3 processor, the same chip found in the high-end Pixel 8 and 8 Pro. Storage options are rumored to be 128GB or 256GB, catering to different user needs.
In the camera department, leaks suggest a dual system with a capable 64MP main sensor and a 13MP ultrawide sensor, similar to the Pixel 7a. A 13MP front-facing camera rounds out the package for selfie enthusiasts.
The leak also suggests a slightly larger battery compared to the Pixel 7a - around 4,500mAh - and confirms 27W wired charging.
Wireless charging details are yet to be revealed, but the Pixel 7a offered 7.5W wireless charging, and the 8a is likely to follow suit.
What to Expect Next With these leaks, anticipation for the Pixel 8a is building. With confirmed color options, leaked specs, and now pricing rumors, the Pixel 8a is surely inching closer to launch with the arrival of Google's IO event, where the phone will debut.
