Huawei announced its flagship P20 and P20 Pro smartphones a few days back. Following the same, its sub-brand Honor unveiled the Honor 7A in its home market China. Now, it looks like the company is prepping to come up with another smartphone as it has started sending media invites teasing the Honor 10's launch on May 15.
As per the company's invite indicates that the launch event might happen in London. The GIF invite also hints that the smartphone would feature an attractive design and artificial intelligence. It does not provide any other details apart these but there are a lot of speculations making the rounds on the internet.
The Honor 10 is believed to flaunt an 18:9 display and the GIF invite suggests that there will no notch as seen on many other smartphones of the recent times. The invite hints that the smartphone might arrive with a more compact form factor, which will make the display appear smaller despite its dimensions.
Honor 10 is said to flaunt a metal body and a 5.99-inch FHD+ display with 18:9 aspect ratio. Under its hood, it is believed to employ an octa-core Kirin 970 SoC coupled with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage space. The USP of the smartphone is said to be the dual-camera setup at its rear comprising of a 16MP RGB lens with f/1.8 aperture and a 20MP monochrome lens. At the front, there could be a 13MP selfie camera with Intelligent Portrait Recognition.
Contrary to this, the leaked photos of the Honor 10, which we came across in the last week show that the smartphone features a notch at the top of the display and a physical home button at the bottom. This is doubtful as the device is believed to feature a display with an aspect ratio of 18:9. Though the dual rear cameras were seen clearly, the smartphone's design was not seen clearly as it was clad in a box in all the three leaked photos. However, there are expectations that it might feature a metal and glass chassis.
For now, details regarding the Honor 10 are scarce and we need to wait for an official confirmation from the company about this smartphone likely to be announced on May 15.
