Htc is all set to launch its upcoming smartphone HTC U12+ on May 23, according to its new teaser which the company has posted on its social media channels. The company has not revealed the phone but it has showcased all the internal components in 'iFixit-style' teardown.
It's been noted from the previous reports that the company might launch only one flagship in this year and spend more time on research and marketing of its smartphone.
According to the latest rumors the HTC U12+ might feature a nearly bezel-less design and it will come equipped with a quad-camera setup. The phone is said to be sports dual-camera setup on both front and rear side of the phone. The phone is tipped to arrive with a 6-inch LCD panel which comes with a resolution of WQHD+.
The fresh Case renders of the smartphone suggest that the phone is again tipping at the quad-camera setup. As per the images, the phone might feature a vertically placed dual-rear camera setup at the back. On the front, the might come with two cameras that are located next to the earpiece.
The HTC U12+ is expected to be powered by a Qualcomm's Snapdragon 845 SoC. Its expected to come with a 6GB of RAM along with two options of 64GB or 128GB of onboard storage. All these variants of HTC U12+ are said to support up to 2TB of additional storage with the help of a microSD card.
Previous reports suggest that the HTC U12+ is tipped to run Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box topped with HTC Sense UI. The device could be unveiled in both single and hybrid dual SIM models. It is believed to feature a 12MP HTC UltraPixel camera at its rear with dual LED flash and a 16MP secondary sensor as well. At the front, there could be an 8MP selfie camera.
HTC U12+ might come with the IP68 certification for water and dust resistance. It is said to feature a biometric sensor, USB Type-C audio, HTC Usonic with Active Noise Cancellation, 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth 5, NFC and a 3420mAh battery with support for fast charging.
