iQOO 12 5G Price in India Tipped Ahead of December 12 Launch

The iQOO 12 5G is making its debut in India on December 12. To recall, the iQOO 12 and iQOO 12 Pro were unveiled in China earlier this month, but only the former is arriving in India. The iQOO 12 5G will also be the first smartphone in India to use the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC.

While iQOO has been gradually teasing detailing about the upcoming flagship, new information has emerged about its pricing. The information comes from tipster Mukul Sharma (@stufflistings).

iQOO 12 5G Price in India (Expected)

Sharma recently leaked the retail box of the iQOO 12 5G and indicated that the price of the handset would fall anywhere between Rs 50,999 and Rs 59,999. However, one of Sharma's sources mentioned that the iQOO 12 5G price in India would start from Rs 56,999.

According to the tipster, the iQOO 12 5G will be offered in two memory configurations in India - 12GB/256GB and 16GB/512GB. It is worth noting that the iQOO 11 5G recently got a price cut in India, now starting from Rs 49,999, although it was originally priced at Rs 59,999.

To recall, the iQOO 12 price in China starts from CNY 3,999 (roughly Rs 46,450) for the base 12GB/256GB model. Moreover, the iQOO 12 also comes in 16GB/512GB configuration costs CNY 4,299 (roughly Rs 49,900). Now, moving on to the iQOO 12 5G specs.

iQOO 12 5G Specifications

The iQOO 12 5G is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip paired with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage. Accompanying the Snapdragon SoC is a dedicated e-sports Q1 chip for an enhanced gaming experience. The handset also has a large vapor chamber and a four-zone cooling system for improved heat dissipation.

The iQOO 12 sports a 6.78-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a 20:9 aspect ratio and HDR support. The panel boasts a 144Hz refresh rate and 2160Hz High frequency PWM dimming. Additionally, the screen has a pixel density of 452 PPI and a peak brightness of 3,000 nits. The iQOO 12 also packs a 5,000 mAh battery with 120W fast charging support.

For optics, the iQOO 12 boasts a triple-camera setup with a 50 MP 1/1.3-inch light tracing primary sensor. The main camera is paired with a 50 MP ultrawide lens and a 64 MP periscope-telephoto sensor with an f/2.57 aperture, OIS support, and 100x digital zoom. Up front, there's a 16 MP selfie camera with an f/2.45 aperture.

The iQOO 12 will run Android 14 with the FuntouchOS 14 skin on top. Connectivity options include 5G, 4G, Wi-Fi 7, GPS, a USB Type-C port, and more. The iQOO 12 5G arrives in a white variant with the BMW Motorsport theme and a black model (Alpha Edition) with a Fluorite AG glass back.
