iQOO 15R Launch in India: New Key Specs Confirmed Ahead of Launch on February 24

iQOO is continuing to share bits and pieces about the upcoming iQOO 15R ahead of its official launch on February 24. Instead of revealing everything at once, the company has been spacing out key details, with the latest focus on the phone’s display and gaming hardware.

Display

The iQOO 15R will feature a 1.5K AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate. That combination is clearly meant to deliver smoother scrolling and animations, while also supporting high-frame-rate gaming.

The panel supports HDR10+ and can reach up to 5,000 nits of local peak brightness, which should help with outdoor visibility. While iQOO hasn’t officially confirmed the screen size, it’s expected to be around 6.59 inches. The company is also highlighting eye-care features like adaptive colour temperature adjustments and a low-brightness sleep mode for extended use.

Performance and Gaming

Under the hood, the phone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 5, paired with iQOO’s in-house Q2 supercomputing chip. According to the company, this setup is designed to maintain stable 144fps gaming performance rather than short bursts of peak output.

To support this, the iQOO 15R includes a dedicated network enhancement chip to reduce latency during online gaming, along with a 6.5K IceCore VC cooling system to manage heat during longer sessions.

Cameras, Battery, and Software

The camera setup includes a 50-megapixel Sony LYT-700V primary sensor with optical image stabilisation, paired with an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera. Details about the front camera haven’t been shared yet.

Battery capacity stands out on paper. The iQOO 15R packs a 7,600mAh battery with support for 100W fast charging. On the software side, it will run OriginOS 6 based on Android 16, with iQOO promising four years of Android updates and six years of security patches.

iQOO 15R Price in India

Other confirmed features include IP68 and IP69 ratings, an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, NFC, and an IR blaster. The phone will be available in Triumph Silver and Dark Knight colour options.

iQOO has confirmed the 15R will be priced under ₹50,000 in India. Final pricing and availability details are expected to be announced at the February 24 launch, where it will compete directly with phones like the OnePlus 15R in the upper mid-range segment.
