iQOO 16 New Leak Reveals 8,500mAh Battery, Symmetrical Dual Speakers, USB 3.2, and More
Fresh details about the iQOO 16 have surfaced from tipster Digital Chat Station in a new Weibo post. The leak is based on an engineering sample and gives a broader picture of what the phone might look like when it launches.
None of this has been confirmed by iQOO.

What the Leak Claims
According to Digital Chat Station, a prototype built around the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro chipset is currently being tested with high-end symmetrical dual speakers from the 1115 series. Alongside that, the same prototype is said to include a 0916 series X-axis linear motor for haptic feedback, a dedicated graphics chip for gaming performance, and a 3D ultrasonic fingerprint sensor.
Other tipped features include IP68 and IP69 ratings, USB 3.2 support, an AR film layer on the display, and an OV50Q main camera sensor.
The Battery Confirmation
The more interesting detail came from the tipster's comment section. When asked about battery capacity, Digital Chat Station more or less confirmed the iQOO 16 will house an 8,500mAh cell. This isn't a new figure, the same capacity was tipped in an earlier leak last month alongside a 2K flat display with an ultra-high refresh rate and a customised panel material. The symmetrical speaker setup was also mentioned in that earlier report.
iQOO 16 Ultra Reportedly Cancelled
Separately, a previous leak suggested the iQOO 16 Ultra variant may be skipped this generation due to rising memory costs, which would make the standard iQOO 16 the headline model of the lineup.
iQOO 16 India Launch in Doubt
Even if the iQOO 16 launches globally, its India arrival is uncertain. Tipster Yogesh Brar has flagged that rising memory costs could push the phone's India price above Rs. 85,000, making it a tough sell in a segment already dominated by established premium devices.
With the brand also reportedly shifting focus toward budget phones, an India launch this year looks increasingly unlikely.
