New teaser reveals key specs of Lenovo S5.

By now, we know that Lenovo is prepping to unveil a new smartphone dubbed Lenovo S5, which is to be unveiled on March 20. This smartphone is believed to compete with the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 slated to be launched in China today. While we have already come across a couple of teasers regarding the device last week, a recent teaser on Weibo has revealed its best features.

The latest teaser of the Lenovo S5 has been posted by the company's VP Chang Cheng on Weibo and reveals its key features. The below image shows that the smartphone will feature a full metallic chassis and sport a full-screen design. It is believed to arrive with a display featuring 18:9 aspect ratio as many other phones in the market.

Also, there are hints suggesting that the Lenovo S5 might shoot impressive selfie shots. The device is also said to arrive with an AI smart engine for great selfie shots. The upcoming Lenovo smartphone teaser tips that the smartphone might be launched with features such as secure payment, facial recognition, latest ZUI version and long-lasting battery life.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 rival

As soon as the Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun posted a teaser on Weibo regarding the launch of the Redmi Note 5 and its possible specs, Cheng took to Weibo to tease that the Lenovo S5 could be a better performer than the Redmi Note 5 hinting at a clear competition.

Here’s what we know so far

A teaser posted by Cheng showed that the Lenovo S5 will feature a reflective metal body and a nice curved design in gorgeous red color. The device is likely to run the latest ZUK UI and feature a hardware security chip as well. Apart from these aspects, there are no further details regarding the smartphone. However, the teaser hints that there could be a dual camera setup at the rear of the alleged Lenovo S5 with the two lenses positioned horizontally at the top left corner.

Is it the Lenovo K520?

Lately, we came across the leaked TENAA listing of a smartphone called Lenovo K520 and it is believed that this could be the Lenovo S5. The TENAA listing shows that the device might feature a 5.65-inch FHD+ display, octa-core processor clocked at 2GHz, 4GB/6GB RAM and 32GB/64GB storage space. The other specs revealed by the Chinese certification database are Android 8.0 Oreo and a 3000mAh battery.
