Micromax HS3, an all-screen smartphone visits GFXBench
Micromax is likely working on another full-screen display phone.
A few weeks back, Micromax unveiled the Canvas Infinity smartphone with a bezel-less design and an all-display front as Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+.
The Micromax Canvas Infinity is the first smartphone to feature a full-screen display in the mid-range price point as it is priced at Rs. 9,999. Now, it looks like the company is prepping another such smartphone with a smaller footprint and a similar display. We say so as a new device called Micromax HS3 has been spotted on the GFXBench database via MobileXpose.
According to the benchmark listing that has been leaked, the Micromax HS3 is believed to run on Android 7.1.2 Nougat OS out of the box. The smartphone is claimed to feature a 5.1-inch display, which is significantly smaller than the 5.7-inch display that is seen on the Micromax Canvas Infinity. The upcoming smartphone seems to feature a similar aspect ratio of 18:9 and a resolution of 1440 x 720 pixels as the Canvas Infinity.
When it comes to the internal aspects, the Micromax HS3 appears to employ an octa-core processor, which could either be the Snapdragon 430 or the Snapdragon 435 SoC. This processor is said to be teamed up with Adreno 505 graphics unit, 3GB RAM and 32GB storage capacity.
The benchmark listing shows that the full-screen display will not be the only highlight of this upcoming Micromax device that is on the cards. The reason is that this smartphone is listed to feature a 20MP selfie camera at the front and a 16MP rear camera tipping that is will be another selfie-centric smartphone to hit the shelves.
For now, there is no mention on when this Micromax HS3 will be unveiled or how much it will cost. However, we would like to mention that Micromax can get it right if the device is priced competitively. Given that the Vivo V7+ with a 24MP Moonlight selfie camera and 18:9 full-screen display is priced at Rs. 21,990, Micromax must opt for a lesser pricing for its upcoming offering to attract buyers.
