Moto Edge 40, Edge 40 Pro Specifications Leaked
The upcoming Moto Edge 40 and Edge 40 Pro's full specifications have been leaked ahead of its launch. The Edge 40 series will arrive in global markets as a rebadged version of the Moto X40, which debuted in China last December.
The Moto Edge 40 will succeed last year's Edge 30 series. Earlier this month, renders of the upcoming smartphone surfaced online, offering a peek at its design. Here's everything we know about the Moto Edge 40 series so far.

Moto Edge 40 Pro: Rumored Specifications
According to a MySmartPrice report, citing a source with "direct knowledge" of the specs, the Moto Edge 40 Pro will feature a 6.67-inch curved panel, flanked by very small bezels. It will have a Full HD+ pOLED screen with support for HDR10+ and Dolby Vision.
In addition, the display will reportedly have a peak brightness of 1300 nits and cover the DCI-P3 color gamut. The screen will have a refresh rate of 165Hz and touch sampling rate of 360Hz.
As for the SoC, the Edge 40 Pro will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor. It will be accompanied by 12GB LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB UFS 4.0 storage.
When it comes to imaging, the smartphone will feature a triple camera setup at the rear, which includes a 50MP primary camera with optical image stabilization (OIS). It is accompanied by a 12MP telephoto lens and a 50MP ultrawide sensor. There's also a 60MP selfie camera at the front.
The Edge 40 Pro will feature a 4,600mAh battery with support for 125W wired fast charging, 15W wireless charging, and 5W reverse wireless charging. It will boot MyUX 5.0, which is based on Android 13.

Meanwhile, the vanilla Edge 40 will sport a smaller 6.55-inch Full HD+ pOLED panel. The display will feature 144Hz refresh rate, peak brightness of 1200 nits, and HDR10+ support.
The smartphone will get an unannounced MediaTek Dimensity 8020 processor, according to the report. It will feature 8GB RAM and up to 256GB internal storage. In addition, it will get a 4,400mAh battery with 68W fast charging as well as 15W wireless charging support.
Moving on to imaging, the Edge 40 will feature a dual camera setup at the rear, comprising a 50MP primary camera and a 13MP ultrawide sensor. The phone will be equipped with a 32MP camera at the front for selfies.
