The race to build thinner smartphones is heating up, and Motorola appears ready to join the trend. A new leak has revealed what could be the company’s slimmest phone yet — the upcoming Edge 70.

A First Look at the Edge 70

Tipster Evan Blass recently shared what looks like Motorola’s official teaser for the Edge 70. The image highlights the phone’s super slim profile, paired with the tagline: “Impossibly Thin and Incredibly Tough.”

It’s a clear signal that Motorola is positioning the Edge 70 against devices like Apple’s iPhone Air and Samsung’s Galaxy S25 Edge, both of which lean on titanium for durability.

Design Details

Based on the leaked poster, the Edge 70 appears to feature a glass back in a green finish, a shift from the vegan leather panels Motorola has often used in the past. The frame also matches the color scheme, creating a more uniform look. While there’s no confirmation of titanium being used, a tough aluminum alloy seems more likely for this model.

The phone is also expected to be thinner than its predecessor. The Edge 60 measured 7.9mm, so the Edge 70 may dip closer to 7mm or even less. That would make it Motorola’s slimmest phone yet.

Features and Hardware Clues

The teaser also points to a triple camera setup at the back, continuing the brand’s push for versatile imaging in its Edge lineup. Another visible addition is what Motorola calls the “AI Key,” which could be a shortcut button tied to on-device AI features.

A Premium Look Without a Flagship Price

Ultra-slim smartphones are usually tied to expensive flagship ranges, but Motorola’s Edge family sits closer to the mid-range. That means the Edge 70 could bring a premium design to a broader audience. With its thin profile and refined materials, Motorola seems to be betting on design as a key differentiator.
