Nokia 2.3 India Launch Teased Officially: What To Expect

HMD Global unveiled the Nokia 2.3 budget smartphone at a global launch event in Egypt last week. Now, the company has started teasing the India launch of this smartphone in the form of a video teaser. However, there is no confirmation that it is the Nokia 2.3 to be launched soon in the country.

While the video teaser shared by the company on Twitter as seen below does not reveal that it is going to bring the Nokia 2.3 to the country, the design confirms it. The phone in the teaser is seen to feature a dedicated Google Assistant button and the high-precision diecast aluminum chassis.

Nokia 2.3 Expected Price In India

Nokia 2.3, the current generation budget smartphone was unveiled last week for 109 euros (approx. Rs. 8,600). It was launched in three color options such as Charcoal, Sand, and Cyan Green. Having said that it is an entry-level offering, we can expect the Nokia 2.3 to be launched in the country at a relatively cheaper price tag.

Nokia 2.3 Specifications

The Nokia 2.3 is the latest one to arrive in the Indian market following the Nokia 6.2 and Nokia 7.2 announced at the IFA 2019 in September. As it is an entry-level smartphone, it comes with a plastic unibody design. It bestows a 6.2-inch IPS LCD 2.5D curved glass display with HD+ resolution of 1520 x 720 pixels, and an aspect ratio of 19:9.

Under its hood, this upcoming budget smartphone in India gets the power from a 2GHz quad-core MediaTek Helio A22 processor based on the 12nm process along with IMG PowerVR GE-class GPU, 2GB RAM and 32GB storage space, which can be expanded up to 512GB using a microSD card.

Running Android 9 Pie with stock UI that can be upgraded to Android 10, the Nokia 2.3 features dual cameras at the rear with a 13MP primary sensor with LED flash and f/2.2 aperture and a 2MP secondary sensor. At the front, there is a 5MP selfie camera with f/2.4 aperture.

Connectivity aspects onboard the Nokia 2.3 include dual 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, Wi-Fi, dual-SIM, and a micro USB port. A 4000mAh battery powers the smartphone from within providing the juice to keep it running.
