However, controversy appears to have struck ahead of the launch as details have emerged about competitors using unscrupulous methods of getting a leg-up on Nothing.

While no hard evidence has been provided, Nothing Co-founder Akis Evangelidis uploaded an image of his WhatsApp message on X, suggesting that one of Nothing's competitors has been "offering people money to downplay" the upcoming Nothing Phone 3a series.

However, the person who tipped off Evangelidis suggested that no hard evidence was available, and it was the usual 'industry chatter'. However, he did note that the tip could only be confirmed after the launch when comparisons are out.

In a now deleted reply to his post, Evangelidis wrote, "DMs are open if anyone has more information. Not the first I am being told this."
