OnePlus 12, OnePlus 12R Launch Roundup: What to Expect? How to Watch the Livestream?

OnePlus is gearing up for its flagship launch event in India this week, where it will unveil the OnePlus 12, OnePlus 12R, and OnePlus Buds 3. To recall, the company unveiled all three devices in China in December and January.

The OnePlus 12 5G is set to make its debut in India's premium smartphone market, while the OnePlus 12R 5G will succeed the OnePlus 11R in the flagship killer space. The OnePlus 12R 5G debuted as the OnePlus Ace 3 earlier this month in China.

The OnePlus 12 event will take place on January 23 at 07:30 pm (IST). The OnePlus 'Smooth Beyond Belief" event is taking place New Delhi, India. The event will be livestreamed on the company's official website and YouTube channel.

Considering the OnePlus 12 and Ace 3 have already been unveiled in China, their specifications are already well known. We believe the OnePlus 12 5G price in India will start from under Rs 70,000, while the OnePlus 12R 5G is expected to fall in the sub-50K market.

OnePlus 12 5G Specifications

The OnePlus 12 is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC paired with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage. The OnePlus 12 also features a QHD+ LTPO OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 4,500 nits. The handset also packs a 5,400 mAh battery with 100W wired and 50W wireless fast charging.

For optics, the OnePlus 12 5G gets a triple-camera setup with a 50 MP primary sensor, a 48 MP ultrawide sensor, and a 64 MP telephoto-periscope lens. The cameras on the OnePlus 12 are fine-tuned by Hasselblad Up front, there's a 32 MP selfie camera.

OnePlus 12R Specifications

The OnePlus 12R will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC paired with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage. The OnePlus 12R is also confirmed to use a 1.5K LTPO OLED display by BOE with a peak brightness of 1,500 nits.

The OnePlus 12R will pack a 5,500 mAh battery with 100W fast charging support. For optics, the handset gets a triple-camera setup with a 50 MP primary sensor, an 8 MP ultrawide lens, and a 2 MP macro unit. Up front, there's a 16 MP selfie camera.
