OnePlus 13 Rumored to Feature 2K LTPO OLED Display, Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 SoC, Sony LYT Cameras, IP68/69 Ratings
Leaks about the upcoming OnePlus 13 have been pouring in heavily since the last month, and now, there is new information on the next-gen flagship from the Chinese tech giant.
Expected to build on the foundation laid by its predecessor, the OnePlus 12, the OnePlus 13 is set to introduce notable upgrades in display technology, processing power, and camera capabilities.

Ultrasonic Fingerprint Scanner and Display
According to leaker Digital Chat Station, the smartphone will include a 2K LTPO OLED curved display. This would offer a high-resolution and adaptive refresh rate, enhancing the visual experience.
The phone is also rumored to feature an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner, a first for OnePlus. This advanced sensor could provide more accurate and secure unlocking compared to the optical scanners used in previous models.
Powerful Hardware and Battery Enhancements
The OnePlus 13 is expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 SoC, promising significant performance improvements. In terms of durability, it may be the first OnePlus phone to achieve an IP69 rating for dust and water resistance. This would offer superior protection compared to the IP68 rating found on older models like the OnePlus 8 Pro.
Battery life is another area of upgrade. The device might include a large 6000mAh or 6100mAh ultra-large silicon negative electrode battery, similar to the one in the OnePlus Ace 3 Pro. This should support 100W fast charging, ensuring quick power-ups even for a battery of this size.
Camera Upgrades with Sony Sensors
When it comes to cameras, the OnePlus 13 might not drastically change from its predecessor but aims to refine the existing setup. According to Digital Chat Station, the phone will likely feature three 50 MP cameras: a wide-angle, ultra-wide, and telephoto lens. These cameras will use Sony LYT hardware.
Specifically, Yogesh Brar suggests that the main sensor is expected to be the same 50 MP Sony LYT 808 found in the OnePlus 12 and Realme GT 6. The ultra-wide and telephoto lenses might use the 50 MP Sony LYT 600 sensor, which is also seen in devices like the OnePlus Nord CE4.
Launch Details and Availability
Following OnePlus' typical launch schedule, the smartphone is likely to debut in the fourth quarter, around November-end or December. The company often aligns its global launches closely with its announcements in China, suggesting a coordinated release strategy. Pre-orders might start soon after the official unveiling, with the phone expected to hit the shelves shortly thereafter.
