OnePlus 13 New Leaks: Wireless Charging, Bigger Battery, Display Upgrades, and More

The next-gen OnePlus 13 is expected to hit the market by the end of this month or the first half of November. While the exact launch date is yet to be announced, the brand has started teasing the features of the upcoming smartphone.

Recently, an official poster confirmed the presence of the BOE's second-gen Oriental Screen on the OnePlus 13. Now, the brand's executive has teased magnetic wireless charging of the upcoming flagship, which is in current trend in the Android world. Interestingly, Oppo's upcoming Find X8 series is also confirmed to feature 50W magnetic wireless charging.

OnePlus 13 Battery and Charging Capabilities

In response to a fan's question on Weibo about the return of wooden cases for the OnePlus 13, OnePlus China head Louis Lee revealed the brand has no plan to bring it, instead, users will get wood grain phone cases to choose from.

It will also have a "magnetic suction function", which suggests magnetic wireless charging support. As for the battery, the OnePlus 13 is rumoured to pack a larger 6,000mAh battery and 100W fast-wired charging support.

The upcoming flagship is confirmed to feature BOE's second-gen Oriental Screen, which is said to provide better performance compared to the first-gen Oriental Screen featured on the OnePlus 12 (Review).

Besides, the phone is likely to come with a 6.8-inch OLED display with a 1440x3168 resolution a 120Hz refresh rate, and a quad-micro-curved design. An ultrasonic fingerprint sensor will also be embedded within the display.

OnePlus 13 Processor

Under the hood, the OnePlus 13 is expected to be powered by Qualcomm's next-gen Snapdragon 8 Elite (initially named the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4) paired with 24GB of LPDDR5X RAM. Even the smartphone is anticipated to support up to 1TB of onboard storage, up from 512GB on the current model.

OnePlus 13 Camera

The smartphone will likely ship with significant camera improvements over the OnePlus 12, featuring a triple camera system including a 50MP LYT-808 main camera with OIS, a 50MP LYT-600 ultra-wide camera, and a 50MP LYT-600 3x periscope lens. On the front, it could opt for a 32MP selfie camera.

OnePlus 13 Price and Launch

As noted, the exact launch date is still unknown at this moment. However, the OnePlus 13 with several upgrades is expected to be more expensive compared to its predecessor OnePlus 12 which was launched at Rs 64,999 for the base 12GB/256GB model.
