"OnePlus' association with Marvel Studios is a manifestation of the enduring love and support they have garnered from its respective community over the years with a purpose to go beyond the ordinary and achieve groundbreaking innovations in mobile technology only to create the best user experiences," OnePlus said in a statement to Android Central, noting that the initiative "marks a step towards strengthening our association with Disney India."

There aren't any picture of the smartphone available since the OnePlus 6 itself is yet to be unveiled. However, previous leaks suggest that the smartphone will be powered by a Snapdragon 845 processor and will also be company's first waterproof device.

Earlier, there were reports that the Avengers-themed edition will be launched in the UK markets as well. The limited edition is said to pack an 8GB of RAM, 256GB of internal storage and will be powered by the Snapdragon 845 SoC. It is expected to land sometime around the movie's release which is due for an April 27 release.

This isn't the first time, we have seen reports surrounding the Avengers-themed OnePlus 6. Earlier, a video surfaced online that showed intercuts between the OnePlus and Avengers logo, and also showed the release date of the upcoming Avengers movie.

As far as other specs are concerned, the smartphone will flaunt a 6.28-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with 2,280×1,080 pixel resolution. On the photography front, the smartphone will boast the same vertically housed dual camera setup comprising of a 20MP and 16MP sensor, but there's no word on the front camera of the phone. A 3,450mAh battery will fuel the device and will support company's Dash fast charging functionality.

The device is also going to sport the controversial iPhone X-like notch. OnePlus CEO, Carl Pei posted a picture of the notch with its exact dimensions. He also stated that the notch falls somewhere between iPhone X's and Essential Phone's notch. The OnePlus 6 notch will house a selfie camera alongside the ambient light sensor, earpiece, and a notification LED. The only thing missing here is the FaceID tech that makes the iPhone X notch a tad bigger.
