OnePlus 6 will be the first waterproof OnePlus phone

OnePlus 6 is undoubtedly one of the most anticipated smartphones at the moment. OnePlus itself has started releasing teasers to keep the hype going. Likewise, the company took to Twitter to reveal an interesting price of information about its upcoming flagship, and it has nothing to with the phone's hardware specification.

OnePlus's Twitter post reads, "Don't you just hate it when you have to stop using your phone when it rains? So do we; ),". Well, you guessed it right. The OnePlus 6 will be water-resistant, and it will be the first OnePlus smartphone to boast this feature. While we are not sure yet, the smartphone could either come with the IP67 rating or IP68 rating.

OnePlus fans have been asking for a water-proof phone for quite a while and it seems like the company has finally listened to them. Needless to say, with a water-resistant chassis, OnePlus 6 will take OnePlus's flagship game a level higher.

In terms of specifications, the OnePlus 6 is confirmed to come with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor, clubbed with 6GB/8GB RAM and up to 256GB inbuilt storage. The smartphone is expected to come in 64GB and 128GB storage variants as well.

On the optics front, the smartphone will be equipped with a dual rear camera setup comprising of a 20MP sensor and another 16MP sensor. For the front camera, there could be a 16MP sensor just like the OnePlus 5T.

As far as other aspects are concerned, the OnePlus 6 will run Android 8.1 Oreo and pack a 3,500mAh battery with Dash Charge V2 support. The smartphone is further expected feature a 6.28-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a screen resolution of 2,280×1,080 pixels, resulting in the aspect ratio of 19:9. Needless to say, the display will have a notch at the top just like the iPhone X.

OnePlus 6 is rumored to cost twice as much as the OnePlus 5T. Since there is no confirmation yet, we are not sure if all the variants of the smartphone will reach the Indian market.

OnePlus 6 will most probably make its debut in China on May 5, but phone's India launch date still remains a mystery. What we know is that the smartphone will be an Amazon exclusive in India.
