OnePlus is now smashing people's phones in a new ad: Comes with a surprising end though

OnePlus has already come out some controversial adverts in the past. However, it seems that the company is continuing its spree of releasing new adverts and it looks like OnePlus is indirectly taking a hit at other brands. The message is quite obvious and the ad definitely leaves an impression on our minds.

Besides, the advert is basically to be impactful and eventually help the brand gain a lot more publicity. Having said that, a new OnePlus ad has yet again been released and this time it is making news all over the internet.

The latest ad (given below) has a similar message to convey as the older ones. OnePlus phones are better, faster and that they offer top performance. While we have been hearing about it for a long time now, the ad involves similar aspects. And if you are familiar with OnePlus ads you know it involves smashing phones. The company had even hosted "smash your phone" contest for the OnePlus One in 2014.

Previously owners themselves smashed their phones. This time OnePlus has done things a bit differently. Interestingly, OnePlus representatives in the new ad go on smashing phones without the owner's consent. Yes, you heard that right. What happens after that?

So the ad is basically a 98-second video, OnePlus representatives are looking to prove that the newly launched handset OnePlus 5T (review) is the fastest smartphones in the world. In the video, the representative asks a couple of random people who are probably using Apple iPhone X, iPhone 8, Samsung S8, and the Galaxy Note8 to perform certain tasks against the 5T.

And well, you might have guessed it, the OnePlus 5T wins the entire duel which involves tasks like turning on the flash, playing a song and taking a picture. After the completion of the tasks, the OnePlus takes the phone and smashes it on the ground.

This leaves the participants in complete shock and some even get angry. However, the representative was just playing a trick. The phones that were destroyed were replicas. Luckily the participants get their original phones back and to their surprise a brand new OnePlus 5T as well.

In any case, OnePlus has been disrupting the smartphone market for some time. The OnePlus 3T was one of the top smartphones from the company and with 5T it has yet again set high standards especially when it comes to performance. It will be interesting to see what 2018 will bring.
