OnePlus Reportedly Has a New Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 Device in the Works

OnePlus seems to be doubling down on performance this season. According to reliable tipster Digital Chat Station, the company is preparing to launch not one but two Snapdragon 8-series smartphones in China — including the much-talked-about OnePlus Ace 6 Turbo and a yet-unnamed performance-centric model that could rival the upcoming Redmi Turbo 5.

OnePlus Ace 6 Turbo

The OnePlus Ace 6 Turbo is shaping up to be a performance-first flagship. Reports suggest it’ll be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset, paired with a flat 1.5K OLED display that supports a 165Hz refresh rate — clearly aimed at gamers and power users.

There’s also talk of a metal middle frame and an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor, which should make for a more premium and reliable unlock experience compared to optical sensors.

One of the most surprising bits is its rumored 8,000mAh battery, which would make it one of the largest in any OnePlus phone to date.

A Special Edition May Be Coming

Digital Chat Station also hinted that OnePlus could release a special edition model of the Ace 6 Turbo in collaboration with a brand identified as “YS.” While it’s unclear which brand this refers to, it suggests a potential lifestyle or design partnership — something we’ve seen before with limited-edition OnePlus devices.

Alongside the Ace 6 Turbo, OnePlus reportedly has another smartphone powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chip. This model is said to focus on high performance and battery endurance, featuring a flat display and a large battery capacity.

The device is expected to compete directly with Dimensity 8500-powered phones such as the Redmi Turbo 5. With these brands all chasing the same performance-driven mid-premium segment, OnePlus seems intent on strengthening its foothold there.

While the official name of this second OnePlus phone hasn’t been confirmed yet, reports suggest it could launch as the Ace 6 Turbo Pro. If true, it may feature a 9,000mAh battery — pushing endurance even further while maintaining the company’s focus on performance hardware.
