Back in November 2017, the Oppo F5 was launched in India with a new AI selfie camera technology. This smartphone is priced at Rs. 19,990 and Rs. 24,990 for the 4GB and 6GB RAM variants. Now, as teased by the company over the past few days, the Sidharth Limited Edition model of this smartphone has been launched at the same price point of Rs. 19,990. This new limited edition model of Oppo F5 comes in a Blue color variant.

It has been announced by Oppo that the Oppo F5 Sidharth Limited Edition model will be available exclusively via the online retailer Amazon India. The sale is said to debut on Amazon on February 8. In addition to this, the smartphone will also be available in the offline stores starting from February 9.

Other than the Blue color, this limited edition model of the Oppo F5 does not have any changes in terms of specifications and features. Let's take a look at these details from below.

Camera

Oppo F5's launch took the selfie cameras to the next step with the AI selfie technology. The AI beauty recognition technology can scan 200 facial recognition spots to make a selfie shot look perfect. The company claims that this technology can make adjustments to the subject based on the skin color, skin tone, age and gender of the person. In addition to these, the selfie camera can also take photos with the bokeh effect. Having said that the Sidharth Limited Edition of the Oppo F5 comes with similar specs, the device will have this AI selfie camera as well.

At the rear, there is a 16MP rear snapper with flash. The smartphone has a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor too. This smartphone also has the Face Unlock feature that supports facial recognition to unlock the phone and for authentication purposes as well.

Design and Display

The Oppo F5 Sidharth Limited Edition bestows a 6-inch FHD+ display with 18:9 aspect ratio. The display is surrounded by slim bezels and there is a metal unibody design.

Hardware

Under its hood, the Oppo F5 Sidharth Limited Edition model makes use of an octa-core MediaTek MT6737T chipset paired with 4GB RAM and 32GB storage capacity. The storage space can be expanded up to 256GB using a microSD card. A 3200mAh battery powers the smartphone from within giving it a decent backup for up to one day on a single charge.
