Oppo Find X9 Series India Launch Timeline Tipped: Dimensity 9500, New Design, Hasselblad Cameras, and More

Oppo is lining up its next flagship phone, the Find X9, for an India launch. The device has just surfaced on the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) website, a step that usually signals local availability isn’t far away. On top of that, a new leak points to an early December release in India.

Certification Points to Imminent Arrival

The BIS listing shows an Oppo handset carrying the model number CPH2791, which matches up with the upcoming Find X9. The certification itself doesn’t reveal hardware details, but it confirms the phone has cleared the regulatory process required for sale in the country. The listing was first spotted by tipster Sanju Choudhary.

In China, Oppo has already announced that the Find X9 series will go official on October 16, with pre-reservations already underway. According to tipster Sudhanshu Ambhore, Indian buyers should expect the lineup to arrive in the first week of December.

MediaTek Power at the Core

Under the hood, the Find X9 is confirmed to run on MediaTek’s new Dimensity 9500 chipset. That places it head-to-head with Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 in the premium space.

Battery performance is also set to be a highlight. Reports suggest the Find X9 will pack a 7,000mAh unit, while the Pro model could push it further to 7,500mAh. If those figures hold up, endurance may become one of the series’ biggest selling points.

Cameras Tuned by Hasselblad

Oppo is once again teaming up with Hasselblad for imaging. The Pro model is expected to include a 200-megapixel periscope telephoto lens with an f/2.1 aperture and 70mm focal length, aimed at serious zoom and detail photography. The company has also teased that a Hasselblad Professional Photography Kit will be available alongside the phones.

A Fresh Look With New Camera Island

Design-wise, Oppo is making a noticeable change. The Find X8 had a circular camera module centered on the back, but the Find X9 moves to a squircle-shaped camera island placed at the top left corner. The shift gives the phone a more modern and distinct appearance while keeping Oppo’s clean aesthetic intact.

As for finishes, Oppo has confirmed that the Find X9 will be available in Bright Red, Velvet Titanium, Frost White, and Mist Black. The Pro trims the palette down to Bright Red, Velvet Titanium and Frost White.
