Oppo Reno 3 5G, Reno 3 Pro 5G Launch Date Set For December 26

Oppo Reno 3 5G has been circulating in rumor and speculations of late. It was expected that the smartphone could be unveiled sometime later this month. Late last week, the Oppo Vice President, Brian Shen teased the design of the smartphone by revealing a partial render of the device.

Later, the company confirmed that the upcoming Oppo smartphone will arrive with the newly launched Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G chipset, a glass body and a slim build measuring just 7.7mm thick. Despite the slim form factor, it is claimed to feature a 4025mAh battery.

Furthermore, Oppo also shared a video teaser showing the entire rear panel of the Reno 3 Pro 5G. The teaser showed the quad cameras arranged vertically at the rear, a unique gradient design with curved glass. Following these official confirmations, the company seems to have revealed the launch date of the smartphone.

Oppo Reno 3 Launch Date Confirmed

Oppo has taken to Weibo to confirm that the Oppo Reno 3 series smartphones will be unveiled in China on December 26. The launch event is likely to take place in Hangzhou. This time, the company is said to take the wraps off two smartphones - the Reno 3 and Reno 3 Pro. And, both are said to support dual-mode SA/NSA 5G connectivity.

It is expected that the standard variant of the Reno 3 will use a MediaTek 5G chipset while the Pro variant will use a Snapdragon 765G chipset just like the recently launched Redmi K30 5G. Word is that Reno 3 will feature a FHD+ resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels and the Pro variant will have a 6.5-inch FHD+ display with a 90Hz refresh rate.

These smartphones are said to feature a quad-camera setup at the rear with 64MP primary camera sensor, support for 30W fast charging, 12GB of RAM and more. However, there are leaks that there will be a 48MP primary camera sensor. We have to wait to see what the company has got to roll out this time.

Going by the leaks that have emerged so far, the Oppo Reno 3 series is likely to feature a punch-hole display with curved edges. It is believed that Oppo will bring almost all the necessary features that will make it compete against the Redmi K30 5G and other affordable 5G smartphones slated to be launched in the coming months.
