Qualcomm will unveil two new Snapdragon 8 Elite chips on September 22 at Snapdragon Summit 2026, setting up the next major performance race for premium Android phones. The company has teased the launch with the phrase “Dual 8 Elites”, pointing to a two-chip flagship strategy for device makers.

Qualcomm has not confirmed the final product names yet. However, the chips are expected to arrive as the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 and Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro. The company’s early messaging highlights faster connectivity, stronger graphics performance and more immersive gaming, rather than focusing only on CPU gains.
