Realme 12 Series Design with Circular Camera Module Listed on MIIT Certification Ahead of Launch
Realme is gearing up for the launch of its much-anticipated Realme 12 Pro 5G series in India and China. The smartphones, recently spotted in TDRA certification, have also received the MIIT (Ministry of Industry and Information Technology) certification, unveiling key details about their design and features.
Certification Insights: Realme 12 Pro 5G Series
The TDRA certification confirmed the existence of the Realme 12 Pro 5G and Realme 12 Pro+ 5G, revealing their model numbers as RMX3841 and RMX3843 respectively. Further details from the MIIT certification showcase the design elements and features of these upcoming mid-range smartphones.

Display and Design Details
The MIIT certification discloses that the Realme 12 Pro series will feature a punch hole in the center of the display to accommodate the selfie camera. The devices will boast a curved AMOLED panel, akin to their predecessor. The right side of the smartphone houses the power button and volume rockers, maintaining a familiar layout.
On the left side, the smartphone maintains a clean look without any placements, including the SIM card tray. Moving to the rear, a circular camera island continues the design elements from the Realme 11 Pro series, housing the quad rear cameras.
Visual Appeal and Color Variants
MIIT images indicate that Realme will introduce a plain leather variant of the smartphone in an eye-catching orange colorway. A distinctive golden strip runs vertically from top to bottom, connecting the camera island. The circular camera island, in addition to showcasing the quad rear cameras, teases the 20x digital zoom capability of the smartphone.
Realme 12 Pro+ 5G Features
Digital Chat Station's report suggests that the Realme 12 Pro+ 5G will come equipped with a 64MP OmniVision OV64B periscope telephoto lens, featuring 3x optical zoom. Additionally, the smartphone will house a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chipset, fabricated on Samsung's 4nm process. The chipset comprises four Cortex A78 cores, six Cortex A55 cores, and an Adreno 710 GPU.
Performance and Chipset Details: Realme 12 Pro 5G
For the vanilla Realme 12 Pro 5G, rumors suggest the inclusion of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset. This chipset features a configuration of one Cortex A715 core, three Cortex A715 cores, four Cortex A510 cores, and an Adreno 720 GPU. Digital Chat Station hints at a 32MP Sony IMX 709 telephoto sensor with 3x optical zoom for the vanilla variant.
