Realme 5i Launch Could Be Nearing: What To Expect
Realme 5 and Realme 5 Pro were launched a few months back. These devices carry the credits of being the most affordable smartphones to feature quad rear cameras. Now, it looks like the company is in plans to come up with a new device allegedly dubbed Realme 5i.
Well, the Realme 5i has been spotted on certification agencies such as Wi-Fi Alliance, TKDN of Indonesia, NBTC of Thailand and BIS of India with the same model number, RMX2030. This suggests that the smartphone's launch could happen anytime soon.
As the company is all set to host an event on December 17 to launch the Realme XT 730G and Realme AirPods, we can expect the Realme 5i to also be launched alongside these devices. Well, if the Realme 5i makes its way into the country, then it will be the fourth device in the series after the Realme 5, 5 Pro and 5s. And, it could be the sequel to the Realme 3i.
Realme 5i: What To Expect
As of now, the details regarding Realme 5i are scarce. Given that the Realme 3i recently received the ColorOS 6 update with system-wide dark mode and other features, we can expect its sequel to be launched with Android 9 Pie topped with ColorOS 6.0 out-of-the-box.
As it belongs to the Realme 5 series, this upcoming smartphone is also expected to feature quad cameras at the rear with notable features such as HDR, AI Face Unlock, AI Beautification, and more.
What We Think
In terms of pricing, the Realme 3i was launched in India in two storage configurations. The base variant with 3GB RAM is priced at Rs. 7,999 and the high-end variant with 4GB RAM is priced at Rs. 9,999. So, we can expect the Realme 5i with improved specifications to be priced relatively higher. However, an official confirmation is awaited and we cannot come to any conclusion regarding the same.
