Realme GT 8 Pro Key Specs Tipped: Snapdragon 8 Elite 2, 7000mAh Battery, 200MP Periscope Camera, and More

Realme’s next flagship may be arriving sooner than expected, and if the latest leak is anything to go by, the GT 8 Pro could bring a few major upgrades to the table—including a new Qualcomm chip, a 2K OLED screen, and a massive periscope camera.

Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 Likely at the Core

Tipster Digital Chat Station has shared details of what seems to be a prototype of the GT 8 Pro. According to the Weibo post, the phone will be powered by the upcoming Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 processor, which Qualcomm is expected to announce in October 2025. Realme had launched the GT 7 Pro shortly after the original Snapdragon 8 Elite last year, so the timeline checks out.

Flat 2K Display and Ultrasonic Fingerprint Sensor

Unlike the curved display on the GT 7 Pro, the GT 8 Pro might feature a flat OLED panel with 2K resolution. The phone is also expected to continue using an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor, which offers faster and more secure unlocking compared to optical scanners.

200MP Periscope Camera and Bigger Battery

One of the most attention-grabbing upgrades is the 200-megapixel periscope telephoto camera, a big jump from the 50MP telephoto lens on the GT 7 Pro. While the rest of the camera setup remains under wraps, this hints at a stronger emphasis on zoom photography.

The battery is expected to be no smaller than 7,000mAh, supported by 100W fast charging. While slightly slower than the 120W charging on the GT 7 Pro, the larger battery could translate to longer overall usage time.

Build and Launch Expectations

The GT 8 Pro may feature a metal middle frame, aligning with other premium Android phones. If Realme follows last year’s pattern, the phone could launch in November in China, shortly after Qualcomm’s chip reveal.
