Realme Smartphones Will Get Tweaked ColorOS 7 With Stock Android-Like Experience

Of late, there have been a lot of speculations claiming that Realme is working on an independent OS allegedly dubbed RealmeOS. It was claimed to be a cleaner Android skin that will be free from the iconography of ColorOS. However, fresh information suggests that ColorOS will stay for some more time.

In a recent development, the Realme India CEO, Madhav Sheth confirmed that the company will launch a ColorOS 7 edition, which will be exclusive to the Realme smartphones. It is said to provide a near-stock Android user experience.

Realme Smartphones ColorOS Edition

As per the latest episode of AskMadhav on YouTube, Sheth took the question about the next Realme update. He cleared the air regarding the rumor surrounding the Realme OS. Going by the same, he revealed that Realme is prepping a tweaked version of the ColorOS 7 update meant for Realme smartphones. The vanilla version of the update will be seeded to the Oppo smartphones.

The Realme-specific ColorOS 7 will have a near-stock Android experience, which was in demand for a long time. However, the executive did not divulge when exactly the update will be rolled out. Furthermore, he did not mention any word regarding the RealmeOS. Besides this, he revealed that the brand is working on a power bank with VOOC fast charging support and it will be launched if there is enough demand.

Detailing on the rollout of updates to the Realme smartphones, Sheth noted that the company will rollout a new software update for its devices in November. He added that they will enable video recording using the wide-angle lens on all of its offerings with quad cameras at the rear.

Realme Fitness Wearable On Cards

Furthermore, he hinted that they could launch fitness wearables as well in India. Well, after venturing into product categories such as earphones and power banks, the company seems to be all set to enter the wearable category with a fitness wearable. It was teased that the Realme fitness wearable will be launched soon in India. It remains to be known if it is a fitness band or a smartwatch.
