Realme Smartphones To Get ColorOS 7 With Custom UI: Announcement On November 25
Realme recently launched its first affordable flagship smartphone -- the Realme X2 Pro for the Indian market. The phone is packed with latest hardware like a 90Hz AMOLED display, the Snapdragon 855+ processor, and 50W VOOC fast charging. On the software front, the phone runs on Android 9 Pie with ColorOS 6 skin on top.
This will soon change, as Madhav Sheth, the CEO of the company has officially confirmed that the ColorOS 7 beta will soon be available for the Realme XT and the Realme X2 Pro. Besides, he also confirmed that the ColorOS 7 for Realme smartphones will come with its own custom UI and the updated timeline for the ColorOS 7 will be unveiled on November 25.
Might Look Similar To OxygenOS
Several leaks suggest that the ColorOS 7 for Realme smartphones will borrow design cues from OxygenOS. Though the ColorOS 7 might remain the same underneath, the Realme's iteration is going to look and function differently compared to Oppo's approach. ColorOS 7 was recently announced in China and the same will go live in India on November 26.
The upcoming major software update for Realme smartphone is expected to offer similar to stock Android UI with cleaner icons and less bloatware. The update will be based on Android 10 OS making it fast and secure.
Checking last few details, we have some exciting progress on our own customized UI!

I will announce the update timeline on coming Monday.
And we are soon releasing ColorOS 7 Beta for #realmeX2Pro and #realmeXT. #DareToLeap
The Realme X2 Pro and the Realme XT are currently some of the trending smartphones from the company (they look almost identical). In fact, except for the processor and the display, the Realme XT and the Realme X2 Pro almost have the same internals.
As per the tweet, these are the first set of devices that will receive ColorOS 7 beta update and the stable update will be rolled out in the coming days after fixing underlying bugs and issues.
