At the Tech Summit 2019, Qualcomm also confirmed that the brand will deploy the 5G network in India by 2021. This means, the OG Redmi K30 might not see the light of the day in India or it might launch with a different chipset -- the Qualcomm Snapdragon 765 SoC.

Difference Between The Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G 5G And Snapdragon 765 SoC

As of now, it is pretty evident that the Snapdragon 765 will launch with a built-in 4G modem but it will support Snapdragon X52 5G modem via the NSA technology. Whereas, the Snapdragon 765G 5G is equipped with the Snapdragon X52 5G modem that offers a maximum download speed of 3.7Gbps.

Besides connectivity, the Snapdragon 765G 5G is expected to run at an ever so slightly higher clock speed (for both CPU and GPU), resulting in better performance. Overall, the Snapdragon 765G 5G will be slightly ahead of the Snapdragon 765 SoC in terms of raw performance.

As the Redmi K20 series received huge success in India, there is n way that the company might not launch its successor -- the Redmi K30. Considering the downgrade in the networking hardware, the company might even price the Indian version at a slightly lower price tag.

Xiaomi is all set to launch the 5G Redmi K30 in China on December 10. As of now, it is confirmed that the phone will have a pill-shaped punch-hole display with an AMOLED display. Plus, this might also be the first phone to come equipped with a 60MP camera sensor from Sony along with three additional camera modules, such as telephoto, ultra-wide angle, and a macro-lens.
