Redmi K30 Will Be Powered By The Snapdragon 765G 5G Chipset: Confirms Xiaomi VP
At the Qualcomm Summit 2019, Xiaomi co-founder and VP Bin Lin has officially announced that the upcoming Redmi K30 will be powered by the newly launched Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G 5G chipset. Besides, he has also confirmed that the Xiaomi Mi 10, which will launch in Q1 of 2020 will be one of the first smartphones to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 SoC.
Besides the latest chipset, the Mi Note 10 will also bear the 108MP camera that has been already featured on phones like the Mi Note 10 and the Mi MIX Alpha. Along with up to ten 5G capable smartphones, Xiaomi is also planning to release a 5G capable smartwatch as well.
As of now, the company hasn't spoken much about the 5G NA version of the Snapdragon 865. However, Qualcomm has confirmed that the Snapdragon 865 will support the 5G network via the NSA technique.
The Redmi K30 is slated for launch on December 10 and it is the first smartphone in the world to be based on Qualcomm's Snapdragon 765G chipset with an integrated 5G modem. Do note that, the Snapdragon 765G is also the most powerful 700-series chipset from Qualcomm and is the first processor with a SA (standalone) 5G modem.

The company claims that the built-in Snapdragon X52 5G modem on the Snapdragon 765G chipset can offer blazing download speeds of up to 3.7 Gbps with support for mmWave and Sub 6 network types.
Just like the Snapdragon 730G, the Snapdragon 765G is also a gaming chipset with backing from Qualcomm Snapdragon Elite Gaming experiences. Though the company hasn't shared the exact specifications of the chipset, it is likely to undercut the Snapdragon 730G and other mid-tier processors.
The Snapdragon 765G is most likely to be manufactured using a 7nm EUV process, making them as efficient as Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 Plus.
