Redmi Note 8T To Launch With MIUI 11 Based On Android 9 Pie
Xiaomi has already launched a bunch of smartphones in the Redmi Note 8 series. Now, the company seems all set to add yet another device to the portfolio -- the Redmi Note 8T. The Redmi Note 8 and the Redmi Note 8 Pro are already available in India and the Redmi Note 8T is expected to be launched in China in the next few weeks.
An Upgraded Version Of The Redmi Note 8
The Redmi Note 8T does share a lot of parameters with the Redmi Note 8 including design and hardware. Considering the latest leaks the "T" variant will offer additional features like NFC connectivity and just like the standard model, the Redmi Note 8T will also support 18W fast charging via the USB Type-C port.
Redmi Note 8T Specifications
According to the leaks, the device will come equipped with a 6.3-inch dot drop display with FHD+ resolution with the Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. Qualcomm's Snapdragon 665 AIE SoC will power the smartphone with up to 6GB RAM and 128GB storage. As per the software, the device will run on Android 9 Pie with custom MIUI 11 skin on top.
The phone will have a quad-camera array with a 48MP primary sensor, 8MP ultra-wide angle lens, 2MP 2CM macro lens, and a 2MP depth sensor. Besides, the smartphone will also have a 20MP selfie camera with support for Face Unlock.
As per the connectivity, the device is likely to have dual SIM card slots with support for 4G LTE and VoLTE on both slots with dual-channel Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth 5.0 support. A 4,000 mAh battery will power the smartphone with fast charging support.
Expected Pricing
The base variant of the Redmi Note 8T is expected to cost around 1000 Yuan or (approx Rs. 10,000) and is likely to replace the Redmi Note 8 in some markets. This model might not launch in India as there are no major differences between the Redmi Note 8 and the Note 8T except NFC support.
