Poco F1 MIUI 11 Update Starts Rolling Out To Select Users

Poco F1, the cheapest smartphone powered by Snapdragon 845 chipset is one of the eligible smartphones to get the MIUI 11. Now, this device has started receiving the latest iteration of Xiaomi's custom ROM. This update brings a slew of improvements and new features to the smartphone launched last year.

Many users have reported that they have received the MIUI 11 update on Poco F1. These users have taken to the MIUI community forums to reveal that the smartphone has received the update. Some users took to Twitter to share the screenshots of the latest update.

An announcement post by a moderator notes that the latest version of the MIUI is rolling out to select users initially. Especially, the update will be rolled out to those users who have taken part in the MIUI beta program.

Select users of the Poco F1 have started receiving the MIUI 11 Beta Stable v11.0.5.0.PEJMIXM. It is rolled out to the beta testers of the build. Those who have successfully applied to the program should get the update soon.

If you own a Poco F1 and you have registered for the beta program of MIUI 11, then you can visit Settings → About phone → System update. Going by the screenshots shared by users of this smartphone, the update weighs around 1.8GB. However, one notable aspect is that the update does not bring changes to the core Android version as it is still based on Android 9 Pie instead of Android 10.

MIUI 11 Features To Expect

The MIUI 11 update to the Poco F1 comes with the system-wide dark mode, always-on lock screen with custom codes, Kaleidoscope effects, and Dynamic Clock. There is a wallpaper carousel to offer a personalized lock screen experience. It comes with bug fixes as well related to the Settings menu. It improves the Game Turbo mode with the ability to open additional menu with continuous swiping on the display. There is an updated File Manager app with a new document viewer and updated Notes app too.
