Reliance JioPhone delivery to be delayed until mid-September due to high demand

The JioPhone pre-bookings debuted on August 24 and within a few minutes the same was halted temporarily as there was a huge demand that caused issues with the online booking process. Still, the pre-booking of the JioPhone is not open as there is a very high demand for the device among the consumers.

In the meantime, Jio revealed that millions of consumers have booked the device though the actual number is yet to be announced. Previously, the JioPhone delivery was slated to debut today and go on until September 4. Given that millions have booked the device, it looks like there is a delay in the shipment of the device.

According to a report by India Today citing a few retailers in the Delhi-NCR region, the Jiohone will delivery seems to have been delayed by a week. Instead of this week, those who booked the feature phone with 4G VoLTE support will receive the handset sometime between September 10 and September 15. Notably, the handset will be delivered on the first come first serve basis so those who booked it first will get their hands on it.

Meanwhile, we would like the make it clear that Jio confirmed that the JioPhone booking will debut once again but it is not known when exactly it will resume. The report reveals that the handset will be open for pre-booking in 3 to 4 days from now. However, there is no official confirmation regarding the same.
