Reports Suggest Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5 Could Launch on July 26th
Samsung is expected to announce the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5 smartphones on July 26, 2023, as reported by Chosun. This is a departure from Samsung's usual tradition of hosting Unpacked events for their foldable phones in August. The rumored launch date in Seoul coincides with an earlier leak that also hinted at a July 2023 release for the forthcoming Galaxy Z series devices.

Previously, there were leaks of the upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 5, revealing its key specifications, and more recently, an online case leak provided a glimpse of the phone's apparent size and dimensions.

As for the specifications, the Galaxy Z Fold 5 is expected to feature a 7.6-inch folding display, while the cover display will likely be a 6.2-inch panel. Both the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5 will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 For Galaxy SoC.
In terms of the camera setup, the Galaxy Z Fold 5 is rumored to offer a triple-rear camera configuration consisting of a 50MP main camera, a 12MP ultra-wide camera, and a 10MP telephoto lens. Additionally, it is expected to come with a 4400mAh battery and support 25W fast charging.
Finally, there have been indications that the Galaxy Z Fold 5 will introduce a new Light Blue color option.

A few weeks ago, design renders of the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 were leaked, providing insights into its design. The leaked renders indicate a significant improvement in the cover display, as it now covers nearly fifty percent of the back panel.
According to reports, the Galaxy Z Flip 5 is expected to feature a 3.4-inch cover display, a substantial upgrade from its predecessor's 1.9-inch cover screen. The inner display is rumored to measure 6.7 inches and employ an AMOLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate. The display will also incorporate a punch-hole notch at the top to accommodate the selfie camera.
Similar to the Galaxy Z Fold 5, the Z Flip 5 will likely utilize the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 for processing power and might support 25W fast charging.
As seen in the leaked renders, the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 is expected to have a dual-rear camera setup. This is likely to consist of a 12MP primary sensor and a 12MP ultra-wide-angle sensor, similar to its predecessor. There are also rumors suggesting the possibility of a 50MP primary camera for the device.
