Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 Specifications Leaked: Details
Rumours doing the rounds suggest that Samsung may launch multiple foldable phones later in 2023, which would include the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5. Out of these two, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 is expected to be the premium one, priced at a higher range.
Several upgrades are in store for the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5, as compared to its predecessor. A new leak has now revealed expected specifications of the foldable smartphone. Although there has been no official word from the company on this yet, the launch is expected to take place soon. Let's take a closer look.

Galaxy Z Fold 5 Specifications: Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 and 25W Wireless Charging
According to the leak, the foldable smartphone will boast upgraded hardware. It will have a new waterdrop hinge in its build, which entails that there will be no gap when the phone is closed. This new hinge is expected to go through mass production in June.
The new handset is also said to have improved camera sensors. It is rumoured to come with a 50MP main camera, a 12MP ultra-wide camera, and a 10MP telephoto camera.
It'll be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC. This was confirmed in the Geekbench listing. The listing also claimed that the phone will pack in 12GB of RAM. Expected internal storage would have two options, 256GB and 512GB.
When it comes to battery, the smartphone will have a 4400mAh battery which supports 45W fast charging and 25W wireless charging.
Leaks suggest three colour options to be available: Beige, Black and Light Blue.
The phone is expected to run on the latest Android 13 software out of the box.
The premium smartphone is expected to be launched around the end of July, although there has been no official word on this yet.
Galaxy Z Fold 5: Display Details
When it comes to display, the Galaxy Z Fold 5 is expected to come with a 7.6-inch foldable AMOLED display. The expected height of the outer display is 6.2 inches. Both the outer and open-fold display is rumoured to have a 120Hz refresh rate. Official brightness measures isn't known yet, but speculations suggest that it'll be brighter that the previous model. Additionally, Samsung is expected to add a Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 layer on the display, to safeguard against scratches and drops.
