Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 Tipped to Get New Hinge Design and Improved Cameras
The full specifications of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 have been leaked online ahead of its purported July launch. The foldable smartphone is tipped to feature various upgrades, including a new hinge design, a brighter display, and more.

According to a new report by tipster Anthony, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 will feature a 7.6-inch AMOLED panel. The screen will have a high refresh rate of 120Hz. The outer display will measure 6.2 inches, while the inner screen will measure 7.6 inches.

The report adds that the Z Fold 5 will sport a brighter display than its predecessor. Considering that the Galaxy Z Fold 4 has a peak brightness of 1300 nits, we can expect the upcoming Galaxy Foldable to bump up its brightness levels even more.
The screen will be protected by a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2, and the phone will have a more durable inner display panel. The Z Fold 5 is also said to get an improved under-display camera.
The tipster claims the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 will get a less prominent crease, which could be attributed to the new water-drop hinge design. It is also said to have a smaller gap when folded.
The Z Fold 5 will be powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor. It will be paired with 12GB LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB/512GB/1TB UFS 4.0 storage options. As for the operating system, the smartphone will ship with Android 13-based One UI 5 out of the box.
For the optics, the Galaxy Z Fold 5 is said to have a triple-camera setup at the rear, comprising a 50MP primary camera, a 12MP ultra-wide lens, and a 10MP telephoto sensor. It will be capable of recording up to 8K videos at 30fps.
Additionally, the Z Fold 5 will feature an improved vibration motor and dual speakers. It will also come with S Pen support. The smartphone will be IPX8-rated for water resistance. As for the price, the tipster suggests that it could cost around $1799.
