Samsung Galaxy A05 Surfaces on Google Play Console: Check Specs, Render

Samsung is gearing up to launch a new entry-level smartphone called the Galaxy A05. The device has been spotted on the Google Play Console, revealing some of its key specifications.

The Galaxy A05 will feature a waterdrop notch display, a small cutout located at the screen's top center to accommodate the front-facing camera. The display is expected to deliver HD+ resolution, measuring 720 x 1600 pixels.

Driving the smartphone's performance is MediaTek's Helio G85 SoC, an octa-core processor clocked at up to 2.0 GHz. This processor will be combined with a maximum of 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage.

Out of the box, the Galaxy A05 will run Android 13 with Samsung's OneUI interface layered on top. Its rear will house a dual-camera setup, comprising a 50MP primary sensor and a 2MP depth sensor. For selfies, an 8MP front camera will be available.

Anticipated to house a 5000mAh battery, the smartphone will also feature a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor and a USB-C port.

Although Samsung has yet to officially announce the Galaxy A05, its release is expected in the upcoming weeks as the device has received a couple of certifications and now has made an appearance in the Google Play Console.

The Galaxy A05 is set to replace the Galaxy A04. To recollect, the Galaxy A04 comes with a 6.5-inch PLS LCD screen with HD+ resolution. It boasts a 60Hz refresh rate and a pixel density of 270 PPI.

Beneath the surface, the phone is driven by an octa-core Helio P35 System on Chip (SoC), coupled with 4GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. The device features a dual-camera setup with a 50MP primary lens, a 5MP front camera, 4G VoLTE compatibility, and a 5,000mAh battery. The price of the device in India is set at Rs 11,999.
