Samsung Galaxy S23 FE to Get Upgraded 50MP Primary Camera: Report

According to a new report, the Samsung Galaxy S23 FE will sport a 50MP main camera, corroborating older rumors that hinted at an upgraded sensor. Its predecessor, the Galaxy S21 FE, features a 12MP primary sensor.

Galaxy S23 FE Camera Details

The Galaxy S23 FE's 50MP main camera sensor could be the same as that on the Galaxy S22 and Galaxy S23, claims a GalaxyClub report. If the rumors turn out to be true, the S23 FE could have more in common with Samsung's flagship devices than older FE models.

This means that the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S23 FE will feature a major upgrade in terms of photography. To recall, the Galaxy S21 FE came with a 12MP main camera. Sadly, no other camera details of the Galaxy S23 FE were revealed.

Galaxy S23 FE Rumored Features

The Galaxy S23 FE will not only get a flagship-grade primary camera, but also a flagship Exynos 2200 processor in select markets. The smartphone is rumored to feature a Snapdragon chipset in other markets.

The processor could be paired with 6GB/8GB of RAM with 128GB/256GB storage options. Additionally, the Galaxy S23 FE could be powered by a 4,500mAh battery with support for 25W fast charging.

As for the display, the Samsung Galaxy S23 FE could sport an AMOLED screen with a refresh rate of 120Hz. There's still no word on the panel size and other display specs for the upcoming smartphone. When it comes to imaging, the handset will feature a triple camera setup, headlined by a 50MP camera.

There's still a lot of confusion as far as the launch timeline of the Galaxy S23 FE is concerned. Some reports suggest that the upcoming smartphone will debut months after the launch of the Galaxy Z Flip 5 and Z Fold 5.

Considering that Samsung's foldable smartphones are rumored to launch by the end of July, the Galaxy S23 FE could arrive in the fourth quarter of 2023. The launch date could even be pushed to early 2024, according to some reports.
