Samsung Galaxy S25 Slim May Feature 200MP Main and 50MP Telephoto, Ultrawide in an Ultra-Thin Design

Samsung's upcoming Galaxy S25 series is rumored to include a new "Slim" model that combines a sleek, lightweight design with cutting-edge camera technology. Expected to be the thinnest in the lineup, the Galaxy S25 Slim could shape up to be the most exciting smartphone out of the series, if the leaks turn out to be true.

A Design Centered on Slimmer Form

The Galaxy S25 Slim is rumored to prioritize a thinner design, made possible by Samsung's All Lenses on Prism (ALoP) technology. This approach minimizes the size of the camera module, a key contributor to smartphone bulk, while maintaining high-quality imaging capabilities. It reflects the growing demand for lightweight devices that deliver on both performance and style.

Samsung Galaxy S25 Slim Leak Details Camera Specs in Ultra-Thin Design

Leakster Sanju Choudhary has detailed how the device achieves its compact profile. The use of a new 200MP Isocell HP5 sensor is a critical component. Measuring 1/1.56 inches, the HP5 sensor is smaller than the 1/1.3-inch Isocell HP2 found in the Galaxy S24 Ultra. This smaller sensor reduces the protrusion of the camera module, contributing to the Slim's lightweight and streamlined design.

Camera Technology That Stands Out

Samsung is doubling down on camera innovation with the Galaxy S25 Slim. In addition to its 200MP main sensor, the device is expected to feature two 50MP Isocell JN5 sensors. These sensors will support ultra-wide and telephoto capabilities, with the telephoto lens offering 3.5x optical zoom.

This configuration could deliver improved digital zoom performance, building on the advancements seen in the Galaxy S24 Ultra and similar flagship devices. The inclusion of AI-powered features is also expected, enabling clearer, more detailed shots even at higher zoom levels.

ALoP Technology: The Key to Slim Design

Samsung's All Lenses on Prism (ALoP) technology is central to the Galaxy S25 Slim's innovative design. Unlike traditional periscope-style telephoto cameras, which place lenses behind a prism, ALoP positions the lenses in front. This rearrangement reduces the overall size of the camera module, allowing for a thinner and more compact smartphone.

What to Expect from the Galaxy S25 Slim

Although Samsung has yet to confirm the Galaxy S25 Slim, leaks suggest it may launch in the second half of 2025. The device is anticipated to act as a mid-cycle refresh, potentially replacing the Galaxy S25 FE in the company's lineup. Its success could also shape the design philosophy of future flagship devices, including the Galaxy S26 series.
