Samsung Galaxy S26 Edge New Leak: Bigger 4,400mAh Battery and Upgraded 50MP Ultra-wide Camera Tipped

Samsung's upcoming Galaxy S26 series has been the talk of the town for a while. If the leaks and rumours are to be believed, the company might ditch the base Galaxy S26 model to bring the new 'Pro' variant. The expected lineup could include the Galaxy S26 Pro, S26 Edge, and S26 Ultra.

On the other hand, the Galaxy S26 Edge is likely to replace the 'Plus' model. Unlike the previous S25 series-where the Edge variant was launched separately - this time, Samsung is rumoured to launch all S26 models simultaneously. Now, the latest leaks have revealed battery details of the upcoming S26 Edge.

Samsung Galaxy S26 Edge May Pack A Larger Battery

According to the tipster PhoneArt (@UniverseIce), the Samsung Galaxy S26 Edge could pack a larger 4,400mAh battery, which would be an upgrade over the 3,900mAh battery that powered the predecessor Galaxy S25 Edge (Review).

However, the tipster also mentioned, "There seems to be some conflict here, I will double-check the information," as previous leaks had claimed the phone might come with a 4,200mAh battery instead.

Samsung Galaxy S26 Edge - What We Know So Far

Leaks suggest the Galaxy S26 Edge will feature a 6.66-inch display. It is also expected to be slimmer than the Galaxy S25 Edge. To fit a larger battery into this sleeker design, the company is reportedly adopting "new battery material technology." The phone could come equipped with a silicon-carbon battery and a 50MP ultra-wide camera, while the previous-gen model offers a 12MP sensor.

Another major shift could be in the chipset department. Unlike the Snapdragon-exclusive S25 lineup, the next-gen S26 series will likely incorporate both Qualcomm and Samsung chips.
