Vivo S17 Series Model Numbers and Launch Timeline Leaked Ahead of Launch
Vivo is reportedly preparing to launch the new Vivo S17 series of smartphones in the third quarter of 2023 in China. The brand's latest S-series lineup will comprise the Vivo S17, S17e, and S17 Pro.
According to The Tech Outlook report, the Vivo S17 will bear model number V2283A, the Vivo S17 Pro will have the model number as V2284A, and Vivo S17e will feature the model number V2285A.

The report adds that some members in the series could be rebranded and will later debut in global markets as the Vivo V29 series. To recall, the Vivo S16 Pro was rebadged and launched as the Vivo V27 Pro outside China.
Vivo S17 Series: Rumored Features
According to the report, the Vivo S17 series will feature a Super AMOLED panel. The smartphone's display will feature curved edges and a color-changing back panel. The handset will sport a main camera sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS) at the rear.
In addition, the S17 series' base model will feature 8GB of RAM and 128GB internal storage. The smartphone will come in 8GB/12GB RAM and 128GB/256GB storage options. Meanwhile, the S17 Pro will get a beefier storage setup with 16GB RAM. All models will get virtual RAM support.
Other details such as the display resolution, camera specifications, and battery capacity are still unclear. There's some speculation about the launch timeline, with the report suggesting that the Vivo S17 could launch in the third quarter of this year. We can expect more details to surface soon, as the lineup's first teasers could be showcased in June.
Vivo V27: Quick Recap
Earlier this month, the Vivo V27 series launched in India as the rebadged version of the S16. While the Vivo V27 Pro features a MediaTek Dimensity 8200 chipset, the base model is equipped with a Dimensity 7200 processor.
Both the smartphones sport a 6.78-inch FHD+ AMOLED panel with a refresh rate of 120Hz. As for imaging, they feature a triple camera setup headlined by a 50MP main camera. There's also a 50MP selfie camera at the front.
