Vivo S5 Renders Leak, Show Two Color Options

Vivo S5 is slated to be launched on November 14 in the company's home market China. Going by the recent leaks and speculations, the USP of the smartphone is its unique diamond-shaped camera module at its rear. Notably, it is the first OLED smartphone to be launched in China with a punch-hole design.

While we are just two days ahead of the official launch of the Vivo S5, the company has taken to Weibo to share multiple renders of the device. These official renders show the design of the upcoming smartphone from all angles.

Similar to the previously leaked renders, the latest ones from Vivo show the smartphone in two color options. The first render seems to be light blue and blends into the pink shade at the right and left edges. The other color option is dark blue with a color-shifting appeal.

The renders show three camera sensors and an LED flash unit within the diamond-shaped camera module. There seems to be an additional camera sensor underneath the diamond-shaped module. While the camera specifications remain undisclosed by the company, a leaked TENAA listing shows that it could comprise feature a quad-camera module with a 48MP primary sensor, an 8MP secondary sensor, a 5MP tertiary sensor, and a 2MP fourth sensor.

Furthermore, the renders show a volume rocker and power button at the ride of the Vivo S5 and a 3.5mm headphone jack and microphone as well. It is interesting to see the headphone jack as the device dons a USB Type-C port at the bottom alongside the secondary microphone and speaker.

Moving on to the front, there is a small round-shaped cutout at the top right corner of the OLED display. It has revealed that the cutout will house a 32MP selfie camera. The screen is believed to measure 6.44 inches and carry an FHD+ resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels and an aspect ratio of 20:9. Even an in-display fingerprint sensor is hinted by the renders.

Vivo S5: What WE Think

Well, the Vivo S5 will be announced in a couple of days. Given that the Vivo S1 and S1 Pro were launched in India, we can expect the upcoming Vivo smartphone to also be launched in the country in the coming months. Previously, we have come across reports that it might feature support for 22.5W fast charging, a capacious battery and a Snapdragon 712 SoC. But an official confirmation is awaited!
