Vivo S5 Spotted On Geekbench Ahead Of Launch

Vivo S5, the upcoming smartphone is hitting the rumor mills with every passing day. It is believed that this smartphone will be launched on November 14 that is tomorrow. While we are just a day ahead of the launch of this smartphone, the device has been spotted on the Geekbench database.

The Geekbench benchmark listing shows a device with the model number Vivo V1932A/T. It is believed to belong to the Vivo S5 series, so it could either be the S5 or S5 Pro. Notably, the leaked TENAA listing that surfaced online last week also revealed the same model number.

Going by the Geekbench listing of the upcoming Vivo smartphone, it is seen that the processor will offer a base frequency of 1.71GHz. It has mentioned the SoC to be sdm710. While there is not much clarity, the TENAA listing showed that it will be powered by a Snapdragon 712 SoC clocked at 2.3GHz.

The other aspects revealed by the Vivo S5 Geekbench listing include 8GB of RAM and Android 9 Pie out-of-the-box. Of course, it will be topped by the company's custom skin Funtouch OS. Talking about its benchmark score, the Vivo V1932A is seen to have scored 1884 points in the single-core test and 6069 points in the multi-core test.

Vivo S5: What To Expect?

Going by the existing reports, the alleged Vivo S5 is believed to flaunt a 6.44-inch AMOLED display with a punch-hole cutout at the top right corner to provide room for the 32MP selfie camera. It is likely to feature an in-display fingerprint sensor as well.

The USP will be its diamond-shaped quad-camera module at its rear as seen in the official renders. This camera module is likely to comprise a 48MP primary sensor, an 8MP secondary sensor, a 5MP tertiary sensor, and a 2MP fourth sensor. The other rumored aspects hint at the presence of a 4010mAh battery with 22.5W fast charging support.

Vivo S5 could be an affordable quad-camera smartphone competing against the likes of those from Redmi and Realme. However, we need to wait for more details to know the same. Especially, its pricing strategy will play a key role in terms of competition.
