Vivo V50 Official-Looking Image Leaks Online, Revealing New Color Option and Curved Design

Vivo appears to be gearing up for the launch of its next mid-range smartphone, the Vivo V50, with fresh leaks providing a clearer picture of what to expect.

However, unlike previous models, there's no mention of a V50 Pro variant, though a Vivo V50e could be in the pipeline.

Vivo V50: Design

An official-looking promotional image of the Vivo V50 shared by tipster Yogesh Brar gives a clear view of the phone's design, featuring:

• A pill-shaped raised camera module housing dual-camera sensors with Zeiss branding and an LED ring light beneath.

• A circular camera layout, offering a refined, premium aesthetic.

• A quad-curved display, a feature typically seen in flagship models like the Vivo X200 Pro.

• A 'Rose Red' color option, reportedly inspired by Indian wedding traditions, along with blue and gray variants.

• A slim profile, despite packing a 6,000mAh battery, making it one of the thinnest devices in its category.

Expected Specs

The Vivo V50 is rumored to be powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 SoC, a chipset that has been seen in both the Vivo S20 and the Vivo V40.

One of the most significant features of the V50 is its large 6,000mAh battery with 90W fast charging. In contrast, the Vivo S20 had a 6,500mAh battery, meaning the V50 may have a slightly smaller battery capacity but retains the fast-charging capabilities.

The device is expected to be available in multiple storage configurations, including 8GB RAM with 128GB storage, 8GB RAM with 256GB storage, and a high-end variant with 12GB RAM and 512GB storage.

Camera Setup: A Different Approach to the Vivo S20?

The camera system on the Vivo V50 appears to have undergone some changes compared to the Vivo S20. While the Vivo S20 featured a 50MP primary camera paired with an 8MP ultrawide sensor, leaks suggest that the Vivo V50 may feature a 50MP primary camera along with a 50MP secondary sensor.

Another conflicting detail is the front camera. While the leaks point to the V50 having an 8MP front-facing camera, the Vivo S20 was launched with a 50MP selfie shooter.

Launch Date and Expected Pricing

The official launch date for the Vivo V50 has not been confirmed, but leaks indicate that the smartphone could debut in mid-February, possibly on February 18.

In terms of pricing, the Vivo V50 is expected to be positioned similarly to the Vivo V40, which launched at ₹34,999 in India. The Vivo S20 was introduced in China at CNY 2,299 (approximately ₹27,500), so the V50 could fall somewhere between ₹30,000 and ₹35,000 in India.
