Vivo V70 India Launch Tipped to Take Place Soon: Vivo T4x 5G Will Tag Along

Vivo's next V-series smartphone, the V70, looks set for an India launch soon after the device, along with another Vivo model, appeared on the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) website (Obtained via Gizmochina), hinting at local availability ahead of a formal announcement.

The V70 follows the Vivo V60, which arrived in August, and continues a twice-yearly refresh pattern that also saw the vivo V50 debut in February, signalling Vivo's ongoing push to keep its V-series current in India's mid-premium segment.

Vivo V70 Key Hardware Expectations

BIS documents list the Vivo V70 under model number V2538 and confirm clearance for sale in India, though specifications are absent. Separate leaks suggest the phone uses Qualcomm's Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset with 8GB RAM and runs Android 16, layered with Vivo's OriginOS 6 interface.

The V70 is widely expected to mirror the yet-to-launch Vivo S50 in China. If that proves correct, buyers should see an OLED display with "1.5K" resolution and 120Hz refresh rate, triple 50MP rear cameras covering main, 3x optical telephoto and ultrawide roles, plus a 50MP front camera.

Battery and durability details are also tipped. The Vivo V70 is said to carry a 6,500mAh battery with 90W wired charging support and is likely to feature an IP69 rating for resistance to dust and water, pointing to a focus on stamina and protection.

Vivo V70 India BIS Certification and Companion V2545 Listing

Alongside the V70, BIS records also show a second vivo device with model number V2545. This model is believed to be the Vivo T5x, following the Vivo T4x that launched in March, suggesting vivo is preparing updates to both its V and T line-ups for Indian customers.

With certifications in place, the Vivo V70 and the likely T5x appear close to an Indian debut, extending vivo's existing V60, V50 and T4x range, while final confirmed specifications, launch dates and local pricing now depend on vivo's official announcement.

To recall, the Vivo V70 is making its debut in China on December 15 as the Vivo S50 and will be accompanied by the Vivo S50 Pro Mini, which is slated to make its global debut as the Vivo X300 FE.
