Vivo X Fold 2 Launched With New Hinge Design, Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, LTPO 120Hz AMOLED Displays
Vivo has officially unveiled its first foldable smartphone of 2023 and its third folding phone overall. The company just dropped the Vivo X Fold 2 alongside the Vivo X Flip and Vivo Pad 2. The Fold 2 is also the company's third foldable smartphone after the Vivo X Fold and Vivo X Fold Plus.
The Vivo X Fold 2 arrives with a flagship specs sheet on both the display, camera, and performance fronts. Additionally, the X Fold 2's new hinge design is rated for 400,000 folds. So without any delays, here's everything you need to know about the Vivo X Fold 2.

Vivo X Fold 2 Price
The Vivo X Fold 2 price is set at CNY 8,999 (roughly ₹1,07,500) for the base 12GB/256GB. Vivo's latest foldable smartphone also comes with 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage that will set you back CNY 9,999 (roughly ₹1,19,500).
The Vivo X Fold 2 comes in China Red, Azure Blue, and String Shadow Black color options. The Black version of the Fold 2 is slightly heavier than the other models. The company is yet to confirm the Vivo X Fold 2 India and global availability.
Vivo X Fold 2 Specifications
The Vivo X Fold 2 is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC paired with the Adreno 740 GPU. The chipset is paired with 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 4.0 storage. The X Fold 2 runs on Android 13 with the OriginOS 3.0 skin on top.
The foldable phone packs a 4,800 mAh dual-cell battery with 120W fast charging support and 50W of wireless flash charging. The Vivo X Fold 2 also comes with the company's V2 imaging chip, first spotted on the Vivo X90 series, for improved camera and gaming performance.
Vivo X Fold 2 Displays
The Vivo X Fold 2 sports a main 8.03-inch E6 AMOLED display with a 2K+ (2160×1916 pixels) resolution. The screen uses LTPO technology for an adaptive 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 1,800 nits. The panel supports Dolby Vision and HDR10+.
The cover E6 AMOLED screen measures 6.53 inches, features a 2K+ resolution, and boasts a peak brightness of 1,300 nits. It also boats an adaptive 120Hz refresh rate as well as HDR10+ and Dolby Vision support. The Vivo X Fold 2's displays also feature an anti-fatigue brightness model. Vivo's new foldable phone also features a 3D fingerprint reader under both displays.
Vivo X Fold 2 Cameras
For optics, the Vivo X Fold 2 gets a triple-rear camera setup with a 50MP Sony IMX866 primary sensor with OIS. The main camera is paired with a 12MP ultrawide unit with a Sony IMX663 sensor and a portrait lens with a 12MP Sony IMX663 sensor.
Additionally, the Vivo X Fold 2 has 16MP front cameras on both the main and cover displays. The rear camera system on the X Fold 2 has been co-engineered with Zeiss. The camera system also features Zeiss' Flare Portrait mode.
