Vivo X300, X300 Pro Launch Date Tipped for October 13: Could Be the First Phones With Dimensity 9500
Vivo’s next flagship phones might be arriving sooner than expected. A fresh leak suggests the Vivo X300 and X300 Pro could launch in China on October 13, making them the first smartphones powered by MediaTek’s new Dimensity 9500 chipset.
A Tentative Date Surfaces
The tip comes from well-known leaker Digital Chat Station on Weibo, who claims the X300 lineup is penciled in for a mid-October debut. Vivo has already teased the series and even opened pre-orders in China. Earlier chatter hinted at a launch following the country’s National Day holidays, and this timeline lines up with that.
What to Expect From the Displays
The standard Vivo X300 is said to ship with a 6.31-inch 8T LTPO BOE Q10+ display, positioning it as the successor to last year’s X200 Pro Mini. Unlike the X200 lineup, there won’t be a 6.67-inch option this time. The larger X300 Pro is expected to feature a 6.78-inch screen, catering to users who prefer a bigger device.
Cameras Take Center Stage
Both phones will house a 50-megapixel selfie camera, but the differences show up on the rear. The X300 may come with a 200-megapixel Samsung HPB main sensor alongside a 50-megapixel Sony LYT-602 periscope telephoto. The Pro version flips this around, using a 50-megapixel Sony LYT-828 as the main shooter while relying on the 200-megapixel Samsung HPB for zoom. A Samsung JN5 ultra-wide lens is likely common to both models.
Battery and Charging Details
While Vivo hasn’t confirmed battery capacities, leaks suggest the X300 could pack a 6,000mAh unit, with the Pro going slightly larger at 6,500mAh. Both are expected to support 90W wired charging along with wireless charging. Security will be handled by an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor.
What About the Vivo X300 Ultra?
Beyond the standard and Pro models, leaks have also pointed to a Vivo X300 Ultra. This phone is tipped to feature a dual-200MP camera setup, pairing Sony's new IMX09E main sensor with a Samsung HPB periscope telephoto lens. On paper, that gives it both strong primary imaging and extended zoom capabilities.
If the leak holds true, the Ultra could land sometime in 2026, though it remains unclear whether Vivo will bring it to global markets like India.
Software and Rival Launches
The X300 series will ship with OriginOS 6 running on top of Android 15. Interestingly, Vivo may not be the only one bringing Dimensity 9500 devices to market in October. Oppo is rumored to introduce its Find X9 series a week later, with a potential global debut on October 28.
